About the author

Dr Andrew R. Houghton is a Consultant Cardiologist at Grantham & District Hospital and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, UK. He attended medical school at the University of Oxford and then trained in Nottingham and Leicester before being appointed as a consultant in 2002. His key interest is in cardiac imaging and he is a member of the British Society of Echocardiography, the European Association of Echocardiography, and the American Society of Echocardiography. In addition to Making Sense of Echocardiography, his publications for Hodder Arnold include Making Sense of the ECG 3rd edition and Making Sense of the ECG: Cases for Self-Assessment (both co-authored with Dr David Gray).
